Dr. Carvunis receives The Chancellor’s Distinguished Research Award

The sound of roaring water can be heard for miles around, especially frightening it sounds at night, so when you’re standing at the waterfall itself you can’t hear the great wolf lodge anything at all. Its name translates from Native American as “rumbling water”. However, there is another version, which says that the word “Niagara” comes from the name of the local Iroquois settlement “Ongniaahra”, which literally means “split land”.
